About

We have served the community of Masiphumelele since November 2011 coming from humble beginnings in an informal shack. We migrated into our new building in April 2016. One of our biggest challenges is encouraging parents to play an active role in the lives of their children and the school. The school is part of the community in Masiphumelele. Children thrive when their parents play an active role in their development and their relationship with the school and educators. Parent motivation, support and encouragement is valuable to their children as well as the running of the school.

OUR MISSION AND VISION

The Rainbow ECD Pre-School is committed to providing an effective Early Childhood Development facility in Masiphumelele.  This facility will support children from birth to 6 years where they will be immersed in an environment dedicated to developing their physical, social and cognitive capacities. As importantly, children at the facility will be helped to develop their language and comprehensive abilities, thereby ensuring that they are well prepared to start school.

OUR VALUES

Accountability

We take responsibility for the commitments TO OUR CHILDREN WE SERVE,  the actions we preform and the problems that arise. Taking responsibility for our actions influences the lives of our children and our fellow workers. We accept that we will be judged by our actions.

Respect

At work, we treat each other AND THE CHILDREN as we would like to be treated – we value and learn from the strength of our diversity. We actively listen to and notice the needs of all.

Pushing Beyond

In our field of child development we strive as individuals, and as an organisation, to break new ground and achieve higher levels of performance; for the benefit of the children and community we serve.

Community

We have a sense of responsibility and see the value in contributing to society. This defines us as citizens of our country.

Service Excellence

We give the best of ourselves and aim for excellence each day.
